Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you sign up to take part in a community walk or run, offer to volunteer, or write to us, we collect only the details you choose to share — for example your name, date of birth, gender, email, mobile number, postal address, emergency contact, T-shirt size, preferred location, and the same details for any family members you add. Where an activity has a registration fee or contribution, we record the payment status and reference IDs returned by our payment partner — we never see or store your card, UPI or banking credentials.

How we use it

• To confirm your participation and, where a payment was made, issue your reference ID and receipt.
• To send you messages about the activity you joined (verification codes, confirmations, updates) by email, and by SMS or WhatsApp where you have shared a mobile number for this purpose.
• For on-the-day arrangements: check-in, safety and emergency contact.
• We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Razorpay — only to process payments, subject to their privacy policy.
• Email and messaging service providers — solely to deliver the messages above.
• Volunteer coordinators at a location see only the sign-ups for their own location, for on-the-day arrangements.
• Authorities, if and only if required by law.

Security, retention & your rights

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers.
• We use only essential cookies — no third-party advertising trackers.
• Records are kept only as long as needed to run the activity and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
